Improving your health tips

Everyday we are bombarded with ways and advice on how to live an active and healthy life. Most of us, however, give up because we feel overwhelmed to make a change! Below are 10 simple and some not quite traditional tips to start improving your health and well being.

1. Preparation:Preparation might not seem like a traditional health tip, but it really is the foundation on which to build good habits, which then determine your results. Grab a notebook and start “predicting your next steps” by developing a plan that covers all aspects which you are involved in. Find out which aspects of your life are not effective and brainstorm effective strategies to bring you closer to your objectives.

For instance, exercise 3 times a week take 5+ portions of fruit and vegetables every day (write out the foods I eat as well as the time of each) and Manage my stress and levels through reading one hour every day.

This is about ensuring you know exactly what you have to do to accomplish your objectives.

2. Accountability
Whenever we start an entirely new routine or habit is when we need a push to get started. I dislike using the words motivation and willpower since they’re volatile emotions that fluctuate from day to day basis. We don’t need willpower in order to wash our teeth each morning, nor should we in order to maintain healthy habits!

It’s important to clarify your goals before forming some action steps and then get into it. I would recommend seeking out a professional to help you develop a plan and help you stay accountable. This really helps, especially until the habit becomes a part of you.

3. Avoid “Diets”
Who hasn’t heard of the diet of cabbage soup? Or their own attempt at a bizarre diet that cut out the majority of your typical foods! The idea of a diet or diet plan that drastically differs from the normal diet will only create a recipe for failure. Yes, in the short term you may lose a few kilos. However, I can assure you that in the next few weeks following having stopped your “diet” you will gain back most, if certainly more weight than you did before. The truth is “diets” are not pleasurable or convenient, therefore they are not sustainable. We do know what “good” foods are but due to inexperience and lack of knowledge on how to prepare some meals, we are forced to make shortcuts. It is a good idea to begin introducing more “good” food items in your diet.

4. Make sure you eat right
In conjunction with tip #3, it is essential to provide your body with the right nutrients. You should aim to have a huge nutritious breakfast that is rich in protein, a small serve of carbs and a little fat. For example, 2 eggs, toast with wholegrain as well as 2 small scoops avocado. This breakfast is sure to keep you going through the day. Eat 3-4 times a day or when your body needs it. Some people prefer high protein diets as this helps make them feel more energetic . Also, some prefer lighter meals. Speak to a doctor to get help.

5. Cardio Exercise
Any healthy strategy can be completed without exercising! It is essential to live a life full of energy, aging better and gaining a healthier. It can affect all areas of your life, such as your stress levels, sleep patterns, and digestion. Try different forms of exercise to see what works best for you. Make sure you do some sort of cardio daily or resistance training, as well as the flexibility exercises several times per month (stretches or yoga) to create a healthier body.

6. Sleep
We all live life that is extremely hectic and sleep is usually the first thing to be sacrificed so that we can add more to our daily lives. Reduced quantity and quality of sleep can cause the immune system being weakened and lead to fatigue, illness and increased stress. Most adults need between 6-8 hours of restful sleep each night. You judge which amount leaves you feeling alert and vibrant the next morning. Prioritize sleep by allowing yourself time to unwind at the end your night in a fashion that suits you.

7. Digestion
Digestive health is the foundation of healthy living. If you don’t have good digestion, your body isn’t able to absorb the nutrients that are in your food. Healthy bowels can avoid illnesses and can contribute to feeling and looking better. If you are experiencing constipation, you might experience headaches, or even muscle and joint discomfort. Your digestive system communicates with other body parts and is a major influence on the overall health of your body. If you believe you’re overloaded, increase the amount of the amount of fiber that you consume slowly. Eat 1.5-2 Liters of water a every day to move things forward and begin looking at areas of your life that contribute to an unhappy digestive tract. Stress, eating while distracted particular foods, or a the lack of exercise could all be culprits.

8. Stress
Stress is generally healthy as it pushes us to keep moving forward and achieving what we want to achieve in this life. Continuous stress on the other hand , can cause headaches, anxiety tiredness and insomnia when allowed to run wild. Stress can manifest in a multiple of ways; snapping at your partner, awakening at 3am every day and feeling exhausted after eight hours of sleep, feeling depressed or simply “blah”.

I’m not going to suggest taking a bath or taking a trip to get a massage to stop your stress as these aren’t permanent solutions. The solution lies with examining your daily routine and determining what aspects of your life seem uncontrollable. Our happiness in life is directly proportional to the degree of control we believe we have in our lives. If you are stressing about feeling overweight, then do something about it! If a relationship leaves you feeling exhausted and discontent You must make a big decision regarding your long-term health. Stress management is an ongoing method of managing your life so you feel the control you desire.

9. Relationships
The increasing number of studies have shown that for humans to live a healthy and happy life we should build strong support networks and relationships. Being around friends is beneficial for our well-being! Spend time each day for a connection with your family, friends, or your friends. Women release endorphins (happy hormones) by having a good gossip.

10. Action & perseverance
Afficient with excellent tips and techniques are wonderful, but unless you actually apply what you’ve learned and keep it up to date that’s no different that if you were ignorant of the subject when you first started!
